"Gladsaxe becomes crisis ready"
On May 15, 2025, the Preparedness Conference 2025 was held at WORQ in Søborg, organized by Gladsaxe Municipality and Gladsaxe Business City.
Over 80 participants - including businesses, educational institutions and municipal actors - attended with one goal: to strengthen local crisis preparedness.
Opening speech: A new security paradigm

Mayor Trine Græse opened the conference with a powerful message: Denmark is facing the most complex threat scenario since World War II. Therefore, as a society, we must be self-sufficient for at least three days - and actively cooperate before, during and after a crisis
Messages from the experts

- Peter Viggo Jakobsen, Associate Professor at the Defense Academy, delivered a sharp analysis of the global security situation. He highlighted the critical role of businesses in supply chains, manufacturing and cyber security - and urged: "Don't invent something new in a crisis - do what you always do".
- Rasmus Storgaard Petersen, Emergency Response Director at Beredskab Øst, emphasized the need to mobilize society's overall resources and ensure that companies can quickly resume normal operations by being robust themselves.
Practical cases and experiences

- Ditte Therese Ekman Strecker from Novafos described how they work with emergency planning within drinking water, wastewater and IT.
- Thomas Kudsk Jensen from Aleris addressed cyber threats and presented the company's strategies to counter them using security frameworks.
Dialogue and next steps

Karen Brosbøl Wulf, Business Manager in Gladsaxe Erhvervsby, facilitated a constructive dialog on how to strengthen collaboration across local areas and industries, knowledge sharing and role distribution.
From the dialog, concrete recommendations for follow-up action emerged:
- Building neighborly help where companies share skills and resources
- Knowledge sharing through networking at both technical and industry level
- Clarify roles and responsibilities - both within companies and between stakeholders.

Gladsaxe's call to action
- Map preparedness - identify critical functions and vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with neighbors - share skills, equipment and capacity in emergencies
- Continue the dialog through thematic dialogs, local networks and structured knowledge sharing.
